The Day & Night Furnace Company saga is over now that arbitration has been completed, an award won, and the settlement paid. The final chapter doesn't seem very satisfying, though.

Unfortunately, I have to interview a lot of candidates that have somehow gotten through the apparently inept first-line screeners. Most of these candidates are complete idiots.
In a single, recent resume/interview, the applicant:
failed to capitalize her street name;
misspelled both her cities of residence and employment;
misformatted her zip code and phone number;
proclaimed her expertise in Java, JAVA, [...]

Response to an AT&T Disconnection Notice

Since all my bills are automatically paid by an electronic clearinghouse every month, I was surprised to get a disconnection notice from AT&T -- to which, of course, I took a significant amount of umbrage.
